BACnet (Building Automation Control Network) is a common data communication protocol for building automation and control networks. Developed by ASHRAE*, its purpose is to standardize communications between building automation devices from different manufacturers, allowing data to be shared across devices and equipment to work together easily.
The integration with XProtect� video management software (VMS) enables two-way event integrations with BACnet devices and servers. Based on the customer�s set-up, this integration can be used to trigger and display event information from a BACnet device into the XProtect� Smart Client when a BACnet Object changes state, or from the XProtect VMS into a BACnet client.
